There and Back Again: A Hobbit's Tale

I was trying to find a smart name for my blog, something with meaning that somehow also referred to this adventure being South America-orientated and was catchy. I was initially thinking of a line from Pablo Neruda's poem 'the heights of macchu picchu', but a blog and URL named "amor, amor, hasta la noche abrupt" does not roll off the tongue as easily as I'd hoped for. Something in English perhaps. Then it just popped into my head, like a dream remembered, 'There and Back Again: A Hobbit's Tale'.

Most of you who know me will know I have a penchant for anything fantastical, especially when it involves Vigo Mortisen as a long lost King of Gondor, coupled with the fact that this is indeed my own adventure to places unknown (pray I don't meet any dragons, though I have anti-histamine cream, that'll be effective against burns right?), and also of course because I am myself a hobbit-sized human (hobbit-ness has no reference to my hairy feet), the name seemed perfect.

To Middle Earth I go, wish me luck ;)
